Founded by Carrie Wiley, Shiny Buddha is for women who embrace their age, their wisdom, and the beauty of caring for themselves with intention. Our brand celebrates skincare not as a routine, but as a moment of presence—an act of daily devotion to your skin and spirit.

Our mission is to provide affordable and eco-conscious products as well as jewelry and art that remind us to take a breath, be kind and enjoy life.

Carrie’s journey with mindfulness began in 1992 while studying abroad in England, where she first discovered yoga. Around that same time, she became an early fan of The Body Shop, inspired by Anita Roddick’s mission to bring quality, ethical beauty products to women from her kitchen. Years later, while working at The Body Shop in New Orleans, Carrie had the chance to meet Anita in person—and even gave her a ride from a crawfish boil back to her hotel in the French Quarter. She was struck by Anita’s humility and warmth, a moment that left a lasting impression and planted a seed.

Now, with Shiny Buddha, Carrie brings that inspiration full circle—offering eco-conscious, age-positive skincare that’s clean, affordable, and rooted in renewal. Our products transform the everyday act of washing your face into a meaningful pause—nurturing your skin while reconnecting you with yourself. This is self-care designed for women who know that beauty isn’t about turning back time—it’s about showing up fully, every single day.
